René is CEO and CIO of ecamos. Developing systematic trading tools since the age of 16, he started his career in 1989 at Credit Suisse before leaving the bank at the age of 24 to study economics and finance at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. While still at University, he developed an equity trading program with which he advised assets for two Swiss pension funds. Subsequently he was the advisor of two equity funds of the Liechtensteinische Landesbank LLB. In 2004 he then founded ecamos, initially focusing on advisory mandates before launching the ecamos Core Fund in 2011.

Head of Sales & Relationship Management

Aris Alexakis launched his finance career in 2017 at a private equity firm in Zurich. He then moved to a crypto startup, where he led the client services department, honing his expertise in the emerging blockchain sector. Later, he transitioned to a crypto brokerage, serving as a relationship manager and advising clients across all areas of cryptocurrency. Today, Aris is the head of the sales and relationship management at ecamos, where he combines his knowledge of finance and client services to deliver tailored solutions for his clients.

Portfolio Manager

Dr. Raphael C. Vial has more than 15 years of experience in the financial services industry. Before joining ecamos Captial AG, Dr. Vial has been a Managing Director and Board Member of VI VorsorgeInvest AG, a Swiss Finma-regulated investment manager specialized in traditional asset management. He also worked as Chief Investment Officer and was a Managing Partner at Wiederkehr Associates AG. Dr. Vial holds a BA degree in Business Administration, an MA degree in Banking and Finance, and a PhD in Business Administration with specialization in Quantitative Finance from the University of St. Gallen.

Portfolio Manager

Athos is a Portfolio Manager and alternative asset allocator with experience managing multi-asset-class portfolios for private and institutional clients as well as funds. His work covers both traditional assets and alternative investments. During his time at Wiederkehr Associates AG, he established the firm's alternative investment program, focusing on hedge funds. At VI VorsorgeInvest AG, he oversees the global equity allocation and manages portfolios for private and institutional clients. Athos holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Athens and an MA in Banking and Finance from the University of Zurich.

Chairman of the Board

Dominik has more than 15 years of experience in the legal services and is founder of a Swiss based law firm. He is specialized in M&A and capital market law. He was Senior Consultant in the M&A team of one of the big audit firm and headed the legal & structuring team of the aviation and yacht finance team of Credit Suisse. Dominik is registered as an attorney in the Zurich bar association and holds a master degree in law and a master degree in Business Administration. 

Jürg specialises is in Swiss financial market law matters with focus on regulatory compliance, risk management, FINMA authorisations for financial institutions and financial products (investment funds and structured products). His clients are fund managers, fund management companies, collective investment schemes, securities dealer, family offices and HNW individuals. Before he joined Lexpert Partners, Jürg was partner of two Zurich based law firms focussing on financial market law. Beside this, Jürg headed the legal team of a FINMA regulated Swiss investment and fund management company advising its management committee on all legal matters as well as on the implementation and oversight of the compliance and risk control framework.

Senior Relationship Manager

Theodor von Oppersdorff has been responsible for sales activities in French-speaking Switzerland at ecamos Capital since August 2020, in the client segments of banks, independent asset managers, family offices, platforms and consultants.  Prior to joining ecamos Capital, von Oppersdorff spent 16 years with Robeco serving the French-speaking part of Switzerland. Prior to that, he also covered the region at Swiss Capital Group, among other things in the area of alternative investments. von Oppersdorff regularly attends training courses and seminars in the areas of public equity and alternative investments as well as legal & compliance.
